DASL Korea Trip 2016

On October 5th, 3 lab colleagues and I headed to South Korea with Dr. Oh for a week of conferences and exploring. This trip was designed to introduce us to Korea and Korean culture, and to prepare us for future fellowships with KAIST and HUBO Lab in Daejon. During this trip we visited many popular places in Seoul including Itaewon, Hongdae, Myeongdong, Yongsan, and Gyeongbokgung Palace. In Daejon we saw KAIST, and the amazing architecture of their downtown district. We attended two robotics conferences: ROSCon and IROS. Here we enjoyed many presentations on research, new hardware & software, and advancements in the field. On our last day, we even got to visit a robotics expo called RoboWorld, where hundreds of exhibitors were on display showing their robotics technologies. I loved getting to explore Korea and meet so many new people! Below is a link to a photo journal of our trip, and a video of our trip will be posted soon.
