Robotino is a mobile-manipulating robot made by Festo. Robotino has many capabilities for sensing and movement, making it a great platform for navigation and computer vision. Robotino can be programmed using C++ directly with the installed Ubuntu 9.04 operating system, but it is advised to use ROS with Robotino from a remote computer using ssh. Using Robotino requires some setup to get it working for programming and use with ROS. This includes setting up the ip address, backing up Robotino data, installing ROS, and setting up the Robotino ROS packages and API. For instructions on how to setup and use Robotino, visit my tutorial.
